Relec Electronics is pleased to announce the launch of the LD90 series of PCB mount AC-DC converters from Mornsun. The LD90 series is designed to meet the demands of a wide range of applications, including industrial and commercial control systems, communication equipment, and many more.
The LD90 series boasts a high efficiency of up to 93%, which helps to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation. The converters also have a wide input voltage range of 85-305VAC, along with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C making them suitable for use in a variety of countries and regions.

One of the outstanding features of the LD90 series is its compact design, which is 100% compatible with other manufacturers’ products. The converters measure just 87mm x 52mm x 29.5mm, making them ideal for applications where space is at a premium. Despite their small size, the LD90 converters are extremely reliable, with an MTBF of up to 300,000 hours.
The LD90 series also includes a number of built-in protection circuits, including overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, and overtemperature protection along with no-load input power of <0.21W. These features help to ensure the safety and longevity of the converters and the devices they power.
From a regulatory point of view the LD90 is Approved to UL & EN62368-1 and meets Over-voltage category III requirements, for applications operating at altitudes up to 4000m. The LD90 series are compliant with EN55032 class B for both conducted and radiated emissions, without the need for any additional components.
