Mornsun’s DIN-rail portfolio enters a new phase

The latest three-phase DIN-rail mounted power supplies from Mornsun, and available from Relec Electronics, are designed for cost-conscious applications in harsh, demanding industries.

The new LI, LIT and LITF three-phase  DIN-rail power supplies are specifically designed and engineered for applications which are powered from three-phase supplies, either in three-wire, two-phase (split phase), line to line or four-wire delta connected three-phase systems.

The LI, LIT and LITF power supplies are designed around wide input ranges from 180 to 550Vac and can also accommodate DC inputs up to 848Vdc.

The ultra-wide input means the power supplies can be used in single phase (line to neutral), two-phase (line to line) or three-phase delta connections (L1 to L2 to L3), all with the same unit.

The 120W, 240W and 480W, ultra-wide input voltage power supplies are stable and reliable in operation, providing 1.5x overload power and protection – sufficient for even the harshest input environments such as driving motors, DC EV charging and industrial applications.

There is a choice of output voltages – 24V and 48V outputs with the additional option of 12V output for the LI120 series. The 48V output is adjustable to 55V for PoE applications.

The power supplies are suitable for both IT and industrial applications and approved to multiple, internationally recognised standards. They are fully approved to EN/IEC62368-1, UL61010 and UL508. They also offer outstanding EMC performance both in terms of emissions and susceptibility.

Units can operate over a wide temperature range, typically -25 to 60 degrees with options to -40 degrees and + 70 degrees.

The high quality engineering of the power supplies includes standard features such as fault alarm relay, peak load capability up to 150%, which is ideal for starting motors. Output short circuit, over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature protection are included as standard. The modules are also designed to meet EN62477 OVC Cat III, 2000m altitude operation.

The reliable power supplies have a MTBF of 30,000h and are covered by Mornsun’s three-year warranty.

The lightweight and compact power supplies are ideal for applications which demand stable, interference-free performance in harsh environments. They can therefore be used in a wide range of factory automation equipment, motor drives, industrial control systems and electric vehicle charger stations.
