CBM70S AC-DC half-brick is fully EMC compliant

Cincon’s latest AC-DC power module, the CBM70S, is a 70W, high-density, Class I module, available from Relec in an industry standard half brick form factor.

The AC-DC power module provides EMC compliance to EN55032 Level B for conducted and radiated emissions without the need for additional components as well immunity to EN61204-3-2000. The versatile power module has an input range of 90 – 264Vac and a choice of outputs (12, 24, 36 and 48Vdc). Output voltages can be adjusted via the trim pin over the range +/- 10%.

The compact CBM70S modules measure 61.0 x 57.9mm, and an ultra-low profile of just 17mm, saving valuable space. The module design integrates an AC fuse, EMC filter & hold-up capacitor to minimise external components, reduce bill of materials and improve reliability. The fully encapsulated module’s baseplate enables it to operate at full load without a cooling fan, further improving system reliability. An optional heatsink is also available, providing designers the choice of convection or forced air cooling, depending on the application.

Low load power consumption is less than 150mW and typical efficiency is up to 89.5%. All four modules in the series have a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The CBM70S modules are designed to operate at high altitudes (up to 5000m max). Safety features include output over-voltage, short circuit & over-temperature protection. The modules are certified to IEC/UL/EN 62368-1.

The modules cover a wide variety of end uses in telecommunications and commercial equipment, consumer electronics, as well as light or heavy industrial applications.
