When a provider of remote tank monitoring systems reached out, they needed more than just an off-the-shelf display. Their smart diesel monitoring system is used across various industries, managing liquid and gas levels in environments as diverse as desert refineries and mountain installations. The ask was clear: a versatile range of displays, some with touch functionality, capable of handling harsh conditions, with high brightness, wide viewing angles, and operational integrity from -30°C to +80°C. In other words, these displays had to be tough, adaptable, and crystal-clear—no matter where they were installed.
In tackling this smart diesel monitoring system challenge, our displays Account Manager, Nick Connor, rolled up his sleeves and got to work. From the outset, it was clear that a one-size-fits-all solution wasn’t going to cut it. Nick worked closely with the customer to assess their unique needs, considering everything from display size to power requirements. After a thorough evaluation, they landed on a 10.4” HDMI TFT LCD Display, featuring all the must-haves: high brightness (up to 1000cd/m²), IPS technology for full viewing angles, and an operating temperature range wide enough to handle both freezing winters and scorching summers.
But we didn’t stop there. Understanding that seamless integration was key, we customised the display’s voltage to 24V to match the customer’s existing smart diesel monitoring systems. On top of that, we provided enhanced power cables, streamlining their supply chain and reducing the number of suppliers involved. Throughout the project, we maintained open lines of communication, adapting quickly to any shifts in their requirements. This level of collaboration and attention to detail turned out to be just as valuable as the technical solution itself.
