Solar Power Meets Intelligent DC-UPS Control

Introducing the ADEL System SOL30 MPPT solar charge controller for off-grid and hybrid industrial power systems.

The ADEL System SOL30 integrates solar charging directly into compatible DC-UPS installations, helping engineers combine photovoltaic power, battery charging and load continuity within one coordinated system. This approach is made even more efficient when using the SOL30 solar charge controller.

Designed for off-grid and hybrid photovoltaic applications, the SOL30 uses Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to extract the maximum available energy from the connected solar panel as conditions change throughout the day. With peak efficiency of up to 98%, the controller helps maximise the energy harvested at low, medium and high-power levels. For industrial solar systems, the SOL30 solar charge controller delivers reliable, efficient performance.

When solar power is available, the system can prioritise photovoltaic energy to support the connected load and recharge the battery. This reduces reliance on the mains supply while maintaining backup power for critical equipment.

Connected DC-UPS Integration

The SOL30 communicates with compatible ADEL System DC-UPS units through ADELBus. Battery settings, including boost, float and recovery parameters, transfer automatically from the DC-UPS to the solar charge controller.

This shared configuration helps prevent charging mismatches, reduces setup time and ensures that the SOL30 follows the battery management settings applied throughout the system. The controller supports several battery technologies, including open lead-acid, AGM, Gel, lithium-ion and LiFePO4. It is particularly suited for use with the ADEL System CBI6024A and CBI6012A, creating a compact solar-ready DC-UPS platform in which the photovoltaic input, battery and load operate as one coordinated system. In these scenarios, the SOL30 solar charge controller optimises the energy flow between the batteries and equipment.

Monitoring and Diagnostics

Bidirectional ADELBus communication provides access to real-time monitoring, configuration, diagnostics and firmware updates. Status LEDs and fault codes support faster commissioning and troubleshooting, while data logging stores up to 10 days of detailed power and load information when the SOL30 is connected to a compatible CBI60 unit.

This system visibility enables engineers to assess photovoltaic performance, verify system operation and identify potential maintenance requirements.
