DC-UPS ETHERNET CONNECTIVITY

Discover how Adelsystem DC-UPS units with Ethernet connectivity turn backup power into a smart, connected part of your network.

The DC-UPS systems combine backup power continuity, remote monitoring, diagnostics and predictive maintenance within a compact DIN-rail platform designed for industrial automation, security, telecoms and critical infrastructure applications.

In the field of security, telecoms and industrial automation, constant power availability is an essential requirement. Today, however, continuity also means the ability to monitor, diagnose, and manage systems remotely. Adelsystem DC-UPS units with Ethernet interface have been developed to meet this need, integrating power supply, digital control, and connectivity into a single module.

System Features and Architecture

The devices in the CBI Ethernet series combine the functions of power supply, battery charger, and DC backup module in a single DIN-rail mounting unit. Connected directly to the AC mains (90–305 VAC), they ensure continuous power to DC loads at 12, 24, or 48 VDC, automatically switching to battery operation in the event of a mains failure without any voltage interruption.

The integrated Ethernet interface enables communication via MODBUS TCP/IP, SNMPv3, and HTTPS, allowing remote supervision of electrical parameters, battery status, fault alerts, and environmental conditions. All data can be accessed through the built-in web server, SCADA software, or network monitoring systems, enabling proactive maintenance and reduced intervention times. The design of these DC-UPS units with Ethernet interface follows the guidelines of the EU Cybersecurity Act, incorporating security and data protection criteria to ensure compliance with European regulations for connected devices.

Advanced Features

Thanks to the internal software, the DC-UPS units manage selectable charging curves, adapting to the main battery technologies – lead-acid, AGM, GEL, NiMH, Lithium, and LiFePO₄. The system autonomously diagnoses any anomalies (short circuit, polarity reversal, sulfation, or disconnection of the battery pack) and reports the status in real time to the operator via the Ethernet network.

Fields of Application

These solutions integrate perfectly into installations where continuous system availability is critical: IP video surveillance systems, access control, intrusion detection systems, environmental monitoring, and IoT infrastructures. Ethernet connectivity enables centralized management of even remote or distributed sites, offering significant advantages in terms of operational efficiency.

Target Users and Configuration

The product line is designed for system integrators, qualified installers, and designers of complex systems who need ready-to-use yet, highly configurable devices. Adelsystem units can be installed without preliminary settings or parameterized in an advanced way to optimize consumption, autonomy, and communication with existing supervision systems.

Distinctive Features

Fully designed and manufactured in Italy, Adelsystem DC-UPS units combine compactness, modularity, and intelligent management in a single platform. The three-year warranty and the availability of a DIN-rail battery port complete the offering, allowing neat and flexible integration into control cabinets and safety panels.

With DC-UPS units featuring Ethernet connectivity, backup power becomes an active element of the network: not only electrical continuity, but also control, diagnostics, and predictive capabilities. For integrators and designers developing resilient industrial and security systems, Adelsystem Ethernet DC-UPS units provide more than backup power alone.
