1. What output voltages are available for the LPP300?

The LPP300 is available with a single 12Vdc, 24Vdc or 48Vdc output. With suitable airflow and a 180–264Vac input, the respective maximum currents are 24A, 12A and 6A.

2. Can the LPP300 deliver 300W using natural convection?

No. At 180–264Vac, the LPP300 provides up to 170W through natural convection. The full 300W output requires 400LFM forced airflow. Thermal performance must be verified within the finished equipment.

3. How does input voltage affect the available output power?

With an input below 180Vac, the LPP300 supplies up to 125W through natural convection or 270W with 400LFM airflow. At 180–264Vac, these ratings increase to 170W and 300W respectively.

4. Is the LPP300 suitable for medical equipment?

Yes. The LPP300 is approved to IEC/EN/cUL 60601-1, supports Type BF applications and provides 4,000Vac input-to-output isolation rated at 2 MOPP. It also meets IEC/EN 60601-1-2 fourth-edition EMC requirements.

5. What applications is the LPP300 suitable for?

Typical applications include medical displays, patient-monitoring equipment, diagnostic devices, test and measurement systems, laboratory instruments and compact industrial controls where available height is limited.

Advanced Energy’s LPP300 is available with 12Vdc, 24Vdc or 48Vdc single outputs, the LPP300 accepts a universal 85–264Vac input and achieves 90% typical efficiency. At 180–264Vac, it supplies up to 170W through natural convection or 300W with 400LFM forced airflow. Available power is reduced below 180Vac. The series includes active PFC, a ±5% output adjustment range, a 12V/1A fan output and protection against overload, short circuits, overvoltage and excessive temperature. Medical features include Type BF suitability, low leakage current and 4,000Vac input-to-output isolation rated at 2 MOPP.
