What does USB-C PD mean?

USB-C PD means USB Type-C Power Delivery. It allows a compatible device and power supply to communicate and select the required voltage and current. What output voltage does the EUM106AXR provide?

The EUM106AXR supports output profiles of 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc. A single unit provides one negotiated voltage at a time, according to the requirements of the connected USB-C PD device. The 65W USB-C Charger can provide up to 3.25 A at 20 Vdc.

Does the EUM106AXR use GaN technology?

Yes. The EUM106AXR is a GaN Power Supply incorporating gallium nitride semiconductor technology. GaN supports efficient high-frequency switching and increased power density, helping the adaptor deliver up to 65 W from a compact enclosure.

What medical applications is the EUM106AXR suited to?

The EUM106AXR provides 2 × MOPP protection and is certified to IEC/EN 60601-1 for medical applications. It is suited to compatible portable diagnostic equipment, patient-monitoring devices, clinical terminals and home healthcare equipment requiring USB-C power. Compliance of the complete medical system must still be assessed by the equipment manufacturer.

Does the EUM106AXR include every interchangeable AC plug?

No. The EUM106AXR does not automatically include every available AC plug. UK, EU, USA, Australian, Chinese, Korean and Indian plug options can be requested according to the target market. Please contact Relec Electronics with the plug types and quantities required so our team can confirm the correct configuration.

EUM106AXR Series

The EUM106A Series is a medical and ITE GaN 65W USB-C Charger available with maximum outputs of 45 W or 65 W. It supports 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc USB Power Delivery profiles, with PD 3.0, QC 4.0 and QC 4.0+ compatibility. Its universal 100–240 Vac input and interchangeable plug options for the UK, EU, USA, Australia, China, Korea and India support medical and commercial applications across international markets.

Designed with 2 × MOPP protection, the series carries IEC/EN 60601-1 medical safety approval alongside IEC/EN 62368-1 compliance for ITE applications. The charger meets Energy Efficiency Level VI or CoC Tier 2 requirements, with no-load consumption as low as 0.15 W. Automatic protection covers short circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, with optional overtemperature protection. Its GaN-based design provides high power density within a compact 58 × 53.2 × 31.5 mm enclosure.

The EUM106AXR Series is a compact Medical USB-C PD Plugtop Adaptor available with outputs up to 65 W. Supporting USB Power Delivery 3.0, it provides 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc output profiles, allowing the connected device and 65W USB-C Charger to negotiate the appropriate voltage.

This GaN Power Supply combines a universal 100–240 Vac input with interchangeable international plug options. Providing 2 × MOPP protection and IEC/EN 60601-1 medical safety approval, it is suitable for compatible medical, clinical and home healthcare equipment.
