USB-C PD means USB Type-C Power Delivery. It is a power standard that allows a compatible device and power supply to communicate and select the required voltage and current. What output voltages does the EU124B provide?

The EU124B supports USB Power Delivery output profiles of 5, 9, 15, 20, 28, 36 and 48 Vdc. A single unit supplies one negotiated voltage profile at a time, according to the requirements of the connected USB-C PD device. At its highest profile, the 240W USB-C Charger can deliver 48 Vdc at up to 5 A.

What is the operating temperature of the EU124B?

The EU124B operates from −20°C to +40°C. Its ability to operate at temperatures down to −20°C makes this GaN Power Supply suitable for commercial and industrial equipment installed in colder environments, subject to the thermal and environmental requirements of the complete system.

What AC input options are available for the EU124B?

The EU124B operates from a universal 100–240 Vac input and is available with C14, C8, C6 or C18 AC inlets as standard options. The required inlet should be specified when ordering. Please contact Relec Electronics to discuss the correct AC inlet configuration for your application.

Does the EU124B incorporate GaN technology?

Yes. The EU124B is a GaN Power Supply based on gallium nitride semi-conductor technology. GaN devices can operate efficiently at higher switching frequencies, supporting greater power density and smaller magnetic components. This technology helps the compact EU124B USB-C PD Desktop Adaptor deliver up to 240 W while maintaining high efficiency and manageable thermal performance.

The EU124B Series is a 240 W GaN USB Type-C PD charger designed to deliver high power from a compact desktop format. Supporting USB Power Delivery 3.1, it provides output profiles of 5, 9, 15, 20, 28, 36 and 48 Vdc, with up to 5 A available at the higher voltage settings. Its gallium nitride design, universal 100–240 Vac input and selectable C14, C8, C6 or C18 AC inlet options support integration into a wide range of commercial and industrial equipment.

The charger incorporates active PFC, Energy Efficiency Level VI compliance and no-load power consumption of no more than 0.1 W. Automatic protection covers short circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, with optional overtemperature protection. Additional features include an LED indicator, an MTBF exceeding 100,000 hours and safety approvals including UL 62368-1, EN 62368-1, IEC 62368-1, FCC, CE and UKCA.
