What does USB-C PD mean?

USB-C PD means USB Type-C Power Delivery. It allows a compatible device and power supply to communicate and select the required voltage and current. What output voltage does the EU106A provide?

The EU106A supports output profiles of 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc. A single unit supplies one negotiated voltage at a time according to the requirements of the connected USB-C PD device. The 65W USB-C Charger can provide up to 3.25 A at 20 Vdc.

Does the EU106A use GaN technology?

Yes. The EU106A is a GaN Power Supply incorporating gallium nitride semiconductor technology. GaN supports efficient high-frequency switching and increased power density, helping the adaptor deliver up to 65 W from a compact desktop enclosure.

EU106A Series

The EU106A Series is a compact 65 W GaN USB Type-C PD charger designed for commercial and ITE applications. Supporting USB Power Delivery 3.0, QC 4.0 and QC 4.0+, it provides output profiles of 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc, with up to 3.25 A available at 20 Vdc. Its universal 100–240 Vac input and choice of C8 or C6 AC inlet support integration into equipment for international markets.

The charger meets Energy Efficiency Level VI requirements and consumes no more than 0.21 W under no-load conditions. Automatic protection covers short circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, with optional overtemperature protection. Additional features include an LED indicator, an MTBF exceeding 100,000 hours and a compact 90 × 40 × 27 mm enclosure. Safety approvals include UL 62368-1, EN 62368-1, IEC 62368-1, FCC, CE, UKCA and PSE.
