Relec Electronics proudly sponsored U11’s tour to Spain.
Relec recently sponsored Parley FC U11’s, who took a group of 22 eager and excited 10–11-year-olds to Spain, to experience a football tour.
The tour included two matches against local Spanish teams, a tour of Espanyol Stadium, and visit to the Olympic Museum. They were also able to take part in a training clinic at LaLiga club Girona FC.
The trip was sponsored by Relec Electronics, who supplied the boys with their tour kit, so every child could look and feel the part. The trip was about far more than just football. It was about giving the children the opportunity to play the game they love in a different country and build friendships, and create memories to last a lifetime.
Giles Wellington the trips organiser said,
‘From day one, we wanted this to be a tour for everyone. Giving families 12 months’ notice so we could make it as inclusive as possible, recognising that people’s financial circumstances differ. Seeing every player out there, smiling together, made all the planning worthwhile.
We are so grateful to Relec for making the boys look the part by sponsoring the tour kit. The kit gave them that extra buzz, walking around looking like a proper team (in their eyes). We are a self-funded grassroots club, with many families already stretching to make the trip happen, the support from Relec really mattered.’
Relec are thrilled to support this local grassroots club, making this trip possible for the children and their families. Seeing the Relec logo on the kit and knowing we have helped a local football club, has been extremely rewarding.
