OCS-260 Series DC-AC Inverter

The OCS-260 Series is a compact, isolated DC-AC inverter providing a pure sine wave 120 Vac or 230 Vac output from nominal DC inputs of 12 Vdc to 110 Vdc. Delivering up to 260 VA apparent power and 180–220 W active power, it combines up to 90% efficiency with fanless natural convection cooling. The inverter provides selectable 50 Hz or 60 Hz output frequency, adjustable output voltage, remote inhibit, an output failure alarm and 3000 Vrms galvanic isolation. Industrial and optional EN 50155 railway versions are available for use in transport, automation, communications and other DC-powered systems requiring a stable AC supply.

OCS-260 DC-AC inverter

The Premium PSU OCS-260 Series is a compact industrial and railway DC-AC inverter designed to convert DC battery inputs into a regulated pure sine wave AC output. Models support nominal 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 36 Vdc, 48 Vdc, 72 Vdc or 110 Vdc systems, with input ranges covering 9.5–138 Vdc. Users can select either a 120 Vac or 230 Vac output, depending on the model.
The OCS-260 DC-AC inverter delivers up to 260 VA apparent power, with rated active power from 180–220 W. Its selectable 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency and adjustable output voltage support integration into a range of industrial control, railway, transport and automation systems.
This compact chassis-mount inverter operates through natural convection cooling and achieves up to 90% efficiency. Additional features include 3000 Vrms input-to-output isolation, remote inhibit and an output failure alarm. Railway versions are available with EN 50155 compliance, EN 61373 Category 1 Class B shock and vibration performance, and EN 45545-2 fire and smoke approval.

1. What DC input voltages does the OCS-260 support?

The OCS-260 Series is available for nominal 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 36 Vdc, 48 Vdc, 72 Vdc and 110 Vdc systems. The complete range covers input voltages from 9.5 Vdc to 138 Vdc. The required model should be selected according to the nominal battery or DC bus voltage.

2. What AC output does the OCS-260 provide?

Depending on the selected model, the OCS-260 provides a regulated pure sine wave output of either 120 Vac or 230 Vac. The output frequency can be configured for 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and the output voltage is adjustable.

3. How much power can the OCS-260 supply?

The OCS-260 delivers up to 260 VA of apparent power. Rated active output power ranges from 180 W to 220 W, depending on the input voltage and output configuration. Relec can help identify the correct model for the required load and DC input.

4. Is the OCS-260 suitable for railway applications?

The OCS-260 uses natural convection cooling, allowing fanless operation from −40°C to +55°C. It also includes remote inhibit and an output failure alarm for connection to external control or monitoring equipment. Input-to-output isolation is rated at 3000 Vrms.
