RIA12 Compliant DC DC Converters
RIA12 is a railway standard which typically applies to older rolling stock in the UK. Surges and transients of RIA12 include a 20mS surge of 3.5 x the nominal supply voltage, which coupled with a very low source impedance, can prove catastrophic for most dc dc converters. Relec Electronics have a range of RIA12 compliant dc dc converters and filters which can be used as stand alone units, or alongside EN50155 compliant modules.
