What does USB-C PD means?

USB-C PD means USB Type-C Power Delivery. It is a charging standard that enables a compatible device and power supply to communicate and select the appropriate voltage and current. This allows the EA1062S USB-C PD Plugtop Adaptor to support a wider range of equipment than a conventional fixed-output USB charger. What output voltage does the EA1062S provide?

A single EA1062S unit supplies one output voltage at a time according to the requirements of the connected USB-C PD device. Supported output profiles are 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc. The connected equipment and the 65W USB-C Power Supply negotiate the appropriate profile automatically, provided both support the USB Power Delivery standard.

What is the operating temperature of the EA1062S?

The EA1062S USB-C PD Plugtop Adaptor operates from −20°C to +40°C. Its ability to start and operate at temperatures down to −20°C makes it suitable for equipment used in colder commercial and industrial environments, subject to the complete system’s environmental requirements.

What applications is the EA1062S suited to?

The EA1062S is designed for industrial and professional equipment requiring up to 65 W through a USB-C Power Delivery interface. Suitable applications include HMIs, IoT gateways, industrial handheld terminals, networking equipment, data-logging devices and portable test or diagnostic systems. Its compact plugtop design, universal 100–240 Vac input and selectable 5–20 Vdc output profiles make it suitable for OEM equipment deployed across multiple international markets.

Does the EA1062S come with every interchangeable AC plug?

No. The EA1062S does not automatically include every available AC plug. UK, EU, USA, Australian, Chinese, Korean and Indian plug options can be requested according to the intended market. Please contact Relec Electronics with the plug types and quantities required so our team can confirm the correct configuration.

EA1062S Series

The EA1062S Series USB-C PD Plugtop Adaptor deliver up to 65 W from a compact interchangeable plugtop format. Supporting USB Power Delivery outputs of 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 Vdc, the series includes the 65 W EA1062SAR and 60 W EA1062SBR models. A universal 100–240 Vac input and interchangeable plug options for the UK, EU, USA, Australia, China, Korea and India support use across international applications.

The chargers meet Energy Efficiency Level VI requirements and consume no more than 0.21 W under no-load conditions. Integrated protection covers short circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, with optional overtemperature protection. Additional features include an LED indicator, LPS compliance and an MTBF exceeding 100,000 hours. The series carries approvals including UL 62368-1, EN 62368-1, IEC 62368-1, FCC, CE and UKCA.

The EA1062S Series is a compact USB-C PD Plugtop Adaptor designed to provide efficient and flexible power for USB-C compatible equipment.
