4.5 – 36V DC Input Range DC-DC Converters from Mornsun

Relec Electronics are pleased to announce the release of a suite of new DC-DC Converters from Mornsun with an ultra-wide 8:1 input range covering 4.5V to 36V DC.  The wide input range allows operation from 5V, 12V & 24V supply voltages with a single module. 

The 4.5 – 36Vdc operating range is also compatible with automotive and robotic applications where the DC-DC Converter needs to operate under high transient conditions when the battery/system voltages can drop due to a high current draw.

Mornsun’s current product offering includes 1W, 3W and 6W modules in industry-standard packages.  All modules feature low no-load power consumption between 0.06 – 0.12W, input under-voltage protection, output short circuit protection & over-current, and over-voltage protection.  All three modules also have an operating temperature range of -40°C to + 105°C, making them suitable for automotive applications.

The UWE_S-1WR3 & UWE_S-3WR3series offers output voltages of ±5V, ±12 and ±15V and UWF-S-1WR3 DC-DC & UWF_S-3WR3 converters are available in 5V, 9V, 12V and 15V outputs. Both UWE/F_S-1WR3 & UWE/F_S-3WR3 DC-DC converters measure 22.0 x 9.5 x 12.0mm (SIP8 package) and are approved to EN62368.

The CUWB_YMD-6WR3 series meet level 3 of EN55025/CISPR 25 EMI standards, making them suitable for industrial control, electric power, instrumentation, and communications in addition to automotive electronics applications.
