The K78Uxx-500 will operate with input voltages up to 72.0V DC & is an important addition to the already popular K78xx-500, K78xx-1000 and K78xx-2000 series regulators. The entire family is 100% footprint compatible with existing LM78 series LDO regulators and removes the need for additional heat sinks.

Applications
The K78Uxx-500 series is the ideal DC DC conversion solution where input to output isolation is not required and systems have been designed to operate from a wide range of standard DC voltages. The K78Uxx-500 can operate with 12V, 24V & 48V inputs all in a single package. Efficiencies of up to 95% remove the need for expensive heat sinks and reduce real estate on today's increasingly heavily populated PCBs.
Availability
The K78Uxx-500 series is available in standard output voltages of 3V3, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V & 24V. Samples are generally available from stock at Relec Electronics for a fast turn around.
