The Enpirion EN63A0QI, a member of the EN6300 family, represents another revolution in low-power switching converters setting a new benchmark in power density of 113W/in2. The device showcases a total solution footprint of only 227mm2, and excellent power efficiency over the entire operating temperature range. Typical of Enpirion, the EN63A0QI provides a full set of features and high level of integration making high performance voltage regulator easier to design.
A complete power system-on-a chip (PowerSoC), the EN63A0QI integrates power switches, inductor, gate drive, controller, and loop compensation in a tiny 10 mm x 11 mm package. The small footprint also enables the use of this part where space is at a premium, but where compromise in efficiency and power supply noise is NOT permitted.
The EN63A0QI utilizes an external resistor divider to set the output voltage to any user defined value. In addition, the EN63A0QI has a package design which is scalable with the EN6360QI which provides circuit designers the opportunity to build in design tunability for various load requirements.
